Question T66 on daily driven FD

After reading all your posts on single turbo set-ups , I am leaning towards a T66 with a 1.0 A/R (my motor isn't ported yet!),what do you guys think ?.

I think thats good. You can make big HP with that turbo and the lag isnt too bad. Have fun with it.

That depends on how much boost.

on a daily driven FD, that wouldnt be too much boost. How much boost do you reccommend on the street for daily driving on the T66? and what kind of RWHP number would I be looking at?

When I was looking into the t-66, I spoke with Steve Kan. He said that when he ran his T-66, he got 430 (not exactly, but close to that number) rwhp at 17psi. That sounds low to me, but he has real world experience with it.

I have heard that you can get 500 rwhp at ~20-21 psi and 450 or so at 15 psi.

The difference between a daily driven FD with a T-66 running 20 psi and a daily drive FD with a T-66 running 14.5 psi is a boost controller. Drive it around at 1 bar, and jack it up when you want more...

I ran 14 psi on pump gas, and made 436 to the wheels all day. 18psi would probably be o.k. depending on how hard you drive on a daily bases. That should make about 500hp (just under).

Street port, AEM ECU, full exhaust, injectors, pump, intercooler, and a custom header.

Jason.
