Talking The T51R has just arrived...:D

Hi...

I have just got the HKS T51R full kit to my FD... I took some pics so I could see the difference of the T51R kai and the T04R..

The polished turbo is a T04R...

It looks like the T51R can eat the T04R for breakfast..

I made 406 hp with the T04R, so i will get you updated when the T51 kit is installed...

450-500 hp. It depends on the exhaust.. I think the 3" is to small... Maybe not... I will wait and see...

Post your numbers, I'll have mine this weekend. Looking for close to 530hp at 23 psi... if I do race fuel.. i'm looking at close to 600hp. I am running 23 on pump + methanol. I'll take pics of my setup today, it looks insane.

Also what did you pay for it USD?

I paid $1700 for mine complete with wastegate, manifold, downpipe, crossoverpipe, turbo, etc.

I paid $450 for a new hotside wheel and rebuild.

$115 for a new flange to mate to my 4" exhaust.

So I'm about $2200 into it for a full complete kit. My turbo is polished also.

Just curious.

I am sure he paid at least double what you did. Pat yourself on the back

Seven93, you will want to go to a 3.5 inch exhaust for the power levels you're looking for.

Just thought i'd rub that in.

LOL

I agree, go with 3.5" exhaust... or 4" to free up the flow.. I am using 4" and we'll see how it turns out.

$3500 used is the going rate, and turbos usually need a rebuild. $5500 new for the whole kit.

I just got extremely lucky.

But if I had to buy it retail, i would have gone with a GT42r or a GT45r. They less and produce more power and better life.

Regardless, the KAI is a sweet setup.
