T51KAI? No Money?? EAT YOUR HEART OUT!
I'm not saying Garrett is wrong but, i have fixed leaking turbos on the compressor side that the bearings and shafts were well within specs. I think the leaking on your turbo is due to the physical position the turbo was lying making it leak around the lube cavity of the dynamic seal. Generally when bearings start to fail the leak will begin due to seals being out of center.. either carbon or dynamic on the compressor or the piston type ring on the turbine. 90% of turbine leaks will require bearings and or machining.

Ron, I agree also that it was the way I positioned it when I set it on the ground. I let it sit there overnight and it leaked out.
If it gives me problems when I hook it up and give it some boost, then I'll know for sure. No point in throwing away cash now to find out if its good. I'd take it to a local shop for inspection, but the only place I know of is owned by some guy who I believe is a terrorist. Last time he said he could fix any turbo until I brought my TD08 in... and then he was like, "I can fix any turbo.. but that one." Ok yeah.. **** that... Turbo Master my ***.
