T4/T3, really turning up the boost

there have been a couple of major developments...

in addition to Garrett announcing a ball bearing center section ATP Turbo now offers a huge upgrade for anyone, like myself for example, running a 5 bolt Ford style rear w an internal wastegate.

they offer a slick new 3 inch V band to replace the restrictive 2.15 inch exit port. in addition the housing features a really nice blend for the wastegate flow.

i just received mine and they are well built w the exception that they need a light resurface on the V band face.

check them out at their site.... $168

Pretty neat item. Some Z guys actually weld in WG "runners" in the downpipe to keep the two exhaust flows separate. Of course the 300Z guys, downpipes, are really DOWNpipes. 90 degrees straight down off the turbo.

here is another interesting internally gated turbo DP

this guy was making around 50hp more then people with similar mods...minus these one off pieces, of course. It was never tested back to back, due to an engine pull required to change DP's, haha!
