T4/GT35 "Blowzilla"

Sounds kinda fun... Flows just a bit more than a 60-1. Any ideas on how this turbo might do for us?

I believe that it isn't really called the "Blowzilla" that is just a name dubbed by cheapturbo.com

My TO4R I bought from them is called "The Big Kahuna," I wouldn't let the nickname alter you decision to buy one, just go on the specs.

Interesting. If the inducer is 61 mm then it's probably a GT40 compressor (2.41"). That also correlates with the GT40 or GT35R ( GT3540) max flow of 65 lb/min. Therefore, this turbo should have similar spool to a 35R (roughly given it's not BB), but will have a larger T4 exhaust housing. Probably a very nice turbo for a rotary, particularly when using a .96 tangential/divided hot side.

There was some info posted a bit ago about trying to mate a 35R CHRA to a T4 exhaust housing. Consensus was that is cuold not be done due to the extreme amount of machining and material removal required. Apparently Cheap Turbo gets around this by using a standard (non ball bearing ) CHRA.

I'd make sure they're using the GT40 or GT35R compressor (it's an 82mm wheel) instead of a standard GT35 compressor, though, as the largest standard GT35 (76 mm wheel) only flows about 52 lb/min max.

Regards,

Gene

Sorry if I made the title confusing... I was just copying what cheapturbo had nicknamed it... lol. Anyways, thanks for the info gfelber! I'm a little confused though... You mentioned 61mm inducer, then talked about the different wheels for the GT35,GT35R, and GT40 wheels... I'm not really understanding what you're saying. Could you please elaborate.
