T3 vs T4 please explain?

Letīs say I have 2 exhaust housing, both have 1.0 A/R. Other housing has a T4 flange and the other has T3. How these two housing differs from each other? Is the housing with T4 flange physically bigger than the T3? Please enlight me. Donīt know a **** about turbos anatomy and really would like to learn.

The point is this: I have now To4B 60-1 with A/R 1,15(non divided) and itīs way too laggy for street(full boost @5000rpm). I might have a good deal of smaller turbine housing with A/R 1.0 and this would be divided. Only it comes with T3 flange. A friend of mine says it doesnīt matter with what flange the exhaust housing comes as long as the A/R is good.

If I go for this smaller housing this one guy is going to lathe(I donīt know how you guys say it) the housing so we can use the same turbine wheel that I have now.

My english isnīt very good so this may sound weird but I hope you got the big picture what Iīm trying to ask/say?

please help me
THANKS

It would be much easier to just get ahold of a T4 1.0 the T3 will also require you to change your manifold as well.
