T3 Turbo manifolds

I've been looking into the "going single" scene just recently and I've found a lot of good information. This is not a "which turbo should I get and for what reasons..." thread so recommending different turbo applications and such isnt what i'm looking for.

I've decided to go with the Turbonetics GT-K 450 or 500 series turbo. The problem is that the exhaust inlet flange is a T3 style. I've been through a whole crap load of sites (including this one) and apparently there isnt very much support for the t3 manifold....as a matter of fact, I haven't found a single one. Turbonetics does make 3 gtk series turbos with the t4 flange style however they are the 650, 850 and 1000 trims, and I do not need something that big or expensive for my application.

So my question is: Are there any t3 turbo manifolds out there that I can buy, without buying a whole turbo kit? If there is not: Where would I go to get a custom set up made, and is it worth the trouble?

A-spec will build any manifold you need. They are quality. I have one of their older T3 manifolds and it has been great. Power level in sig with build thread. Shooting for 500whp this year with AI. Should be no problem

What are your power goals? I think the gtk 450 and 500 can only do like 350??

I'm kind of lost on how much power each turbo can produce but I was told once that whatever series it is, is how much power it makes, ie. 450 makes 450 give or take and 500 makes 500 etc, etc.

Those turbo's are good if you're wanting to be in the 300whp range.

you probably need to listen to the rotary guys on the board before you do something you will regret.

Turbonetics, and most other turbo vendors, are talking PISTON HP...

piston hp gets divided by 1.3 to get to ROTARY HP.

so, 450 / 1.3 = 346

just trying to be of help.

it is a good thing you mentioned something. ok i'll look into that then. Maybe I'll start looking at the 850 and then not have to worry about finding someone to make a t3 manifold. Thanks for the info Howard.
