T04S Dyno Results
I recently went to a dyno day of a shop here in town and did one pull running 18-19lbs on my XS TO4S. It put down 464rwhp and 355rwtq. This was running avgas on a Dynojet. I had dynoed previously at 435rwhp on pump gas at 15-16bs at the RX-7 Store. If the forum ever gets fixed I will post up the dyno sheet.

Obviously we'd love to see the sheets, I'd be curious to see the curves. At about what RPMs does the power really start to ramp up? What sort of AFRs? Also what hot side AR? Thanks, Carl

1.0 hotside. The sniffer on the dyno was backing out of the tailpipe during the run so on the sheet the AFR's creep to 14!!! I log all the time and my AFR's are in the mid 10 area. I hit 400rwhp at 5200rpm. I am still tuning for avgas so there is a rich dip after that and then I hit peak HP at 6600 RPM. We stopped at 7700 and hp was still at 460.

Very nice numbers. I, along with everyone else here, can't wait to see the sheets once they are posted. How much are planning on leaning out your AFR's??

I have a copy of the sheet... looks to me like the boost isn't steady. The torque rises up, levels off, rises up, levels off... rises up again...
It's possible that there is some work still needed in the tuning in those areas, but I wonder if he checks his log from the PFC from the run... will he see the boost dropping where the flat spots are?
I know on my T04S setup, I had to fiddle with the Profec B to get good results from it.

Wargasm- Yeah, I still have some AFR tuning to do for AV gas. I just switched over from pump gas and I am running real rich in some areas. The boost is rock solid. My tranny just got put in the day before after the car sat for 3 weeks and of coarse the tuning was totaly different than before. This dyno was a last minuite thing but still shows the potential.
FWIW I have a Pineapple Racing large race port with all the mods. I think I need a better ignition amp cause the Twin Power doesn't seem to be doing it on hight boost and high octane. I am going through plugs every 500 miles or so.

Radkins, What plugs are you running? I find that at 15 PSI on pump gas, I get good results with stock 9s in the leading and BR10EIX in the trailings. Also if my car is running richer than 10.5:1 or so, it tends to foul the plugs a little more.
If you already have the twinpower and you're still having ignition problems it can't hurt to make sure the twinpower is well grounded and that the coils are well grounded (next time you're under the manifold there.)

Or try 10.5s - I'm loving them
Fellas, I'm getting very good results from the 10.5s. My setup is like Wargasm's (I used his last dyno map as a base to start from - many thanks, again, 'gasm) and after 2K miles I had 'the usual' buildup and I am still a bit rich. Using stock coil packs and Twin Power. I used to complete burn through 9's over that same timeframe. This is also not on high octane gas - 91 here in Kalifornia. Also only streetported vs. big ports like radkins.
Granted, the 10.5s are spendy. I wish I had before/after EGTs with these, but I still have not got my EGT installed.
Great numbers, radkins. Avgas = what octane? I'm just wondering how my 103VP unleaded will compare. The VP dealer says with my turbo it's good to 20 lbs, but I don't have the injectors or fuel lines to get there yet.

Still lovin' my RGRs, btw. Really appreciate your help in picking them out. As a matter of fact, I'm on the way to Tahoe in about an hour, and plan on giving them a nice workout

Anyone know what is the max psi the xs to4s can handle? I'm running 20psi right now with 120 octane leaded and had trouble at the dyno so I was wondering if I should go back and tune more than 20psi. My injectors are 850 and 1600. thanks, james
Great numbers radkins!!!

I use the BR10EIX small engine plug. It's quite affordable at around 7 dollars each. I gap them at 0.022...
The only catch is you need a thin-walled spark plug socket in order to fit it down into the spark plug hole. You can buy a custom made socket for a ridiculous amount (seen them for like 30-60 bucks!) or you can just take a grinder and CAREFULLY and EVENLY grind down just enough of the tip of a standard 2 dollar plug socket so it fits.

My PFC read 1.2, but my boost guage read 18-19.
Can someone suggest where to post this pic? I can't figure out how to post it on another forum for some reason. Wargasm, can you throw it up?
