T04E setup

Hello graybeards and quarter backers

I am looking into a t04E setup by turblown for my na gxl. The kit comes with a fabricated exhaust and the appropriate mods to dip into the na oil reservoir. I'm looking to make somewhere around 350 ish plus or minus a few. My dilemma is I'm trying to get the support mods together. I have put together the following :
255 fuel pump
2.1 rtek
Exhaust
fuel injectors low:550 high:800
Rotary works v mount

I know that this list is rough. I have read through posts (2 years back lol). Corrections are welcome, this is after all my first force induction.

Thanks for the help in advanced

My first recommendation would be to get a TII. You will spend more time and headache dealing with an NA engine. Start with a proper setup from the beginning. My second recommendation would be to get a turbo engine. Japan2LA sells guaranteed Jspec engines. It seems silly to spend $1100 on an intercooler setup for an NA engine. You should spend the money where it counts.

Assuming you don't listen to either and go with the NA setup....

-Clutch and tranny sorted to handle the power?

-I would run larger injectors for sure. 720/1000's.

-Supra pump instead of a Walbro

-With higher compression, I would also look into water injection or 50/50 to keep things safe. A simple switched system would work fine.

-For the intercooler piping, you are going to have to run both pipes to one side. Since you are boosting an NA engine. Prepare to fabricate that type of setup.

-Get a good tuner.

Those are good points, I'll go back to researching. And thanks for the input.

No problem. If you look at your GXL, depending on condition it's likely worth $2k or more. Embarking on a turbo project with your goals in mind will easily cost another $2k. MOST definitely more, but we will say bare bones for argument sake. By this time you are already looking at $4k bare minimum of cash. You can pick up a well sorted, modified TII for $4-6k.

With this, you can work with bolt-ons, upgrades and mods with a ready and willing chassis and drivetrain.
