My Greddy T88 kit came with a 20 psi spring, the spring dictates the minimum boost level once you turn the adjustment screw for the wastegate all the way. Most of the Greddy T88 kits are sent with 16psi springs, therefore it's the lowest boost you can run. I used 20 in everyday driving with no problems as long as you have the proper fuel supply and management.

You can always cut-shorten the spring to get a lower base boost. In case you have bad fuel, etc.

Ok..... here's what u do... drill a hole near the end of your muffler... in that hole, secure a spark plug. Next, connect the spark plug to your battery terminals with a switch intermidately along that wire, then placed somewhere inside your car. When you start to smell that Sonoco smell... just flip on the switch and see if u smell it anymore!! Instead of the gas smell.... u might detect the lovely scent of burning plastic from the car behind you

I'm pretty sure you would need a coil to feed the spark plug, I doubt 12volts is gunna do it.

I'm running 16.5psi. My car starts popping around 5400rpm, my back bumper on top of my exhaust is black, and it smells like Sunoco on idle and when I drive. (too rich)

SOMEONE, HELP TUNE!!!!!!!!
Well, no one can help unless you provide more information.

1) Whats your base fuel pressure
2) Under WOT / Idle / Cruising, whats your Timing? Whats your trailing timing set to?
3) Under WOT / Idle / Cruising, what mS of injector time are your injectors pushing?
4) When do you have your secondaries coming online?
5) What kind of spark plugs are you running?
6) Stock coils / ignition setup?
7) What kind of plug wires are you using?

Your poping is directly indicating that you have ignition break up. You need to:
- Correct any fuel problems.
- Correct any timing problems.
- Correct any spark plug issues.
- Add an ignition amplifier to your system.

To correct the 3 first issues, we need to know more information.

When you set it up with big secondaries it will run like hell except under WOT and high RPMS. Go check out the Injector sizing and boost/fuel charts on rx7.coms web site
