T-78 vs T04s

From a performance stand point which makes better power with all other factors being equal...For hi-po street use, sometimes race fuel for a Saturday nights ...........

I cannot speak for the Greddy unit but a Garrett TO4 in "R" 0.7 a/r compressor cover (large one with cast steel backing plate) specification is good for over 700bhp, it when used in the rear housing a/r range of 0.96 to 1.15 when run with a good header and large wastegate has no lag at all and will make power to 8000rpm. When run with a 1.32a/r the lag again is non measurable on a data logger however there is a notable "top end" power band bias and this set up will make power to 9500rpm with good porting.

"S" spec or 60-1/H trim size wheels in a 0.7 a/r compressor cover (large one with cast steel backing plate) will make around 600bhp, on my car this turbo has made 590bhp or around 490rwhp with 19psi boost pressure.

In terms of price of initial purchase and repairs I think you will not find a better (more powerfull) turbo than the TO4 series...I know that some of you guys have said that it is hard to get the Greddy unit rebuilt before?

You shouldn't follow what everyone else does... I believe the best all round turbo is the turbonetics 60-1. You will make just as much horsepower and you will also save yourself a whole lot of cash. Greddy is very overpriced...

And FYI Ari is using a Greddy T88...
