T-78 glows

Part 1

So Im at this shop yesterday. They were working on a Turbo II that was just throwing a fit. They take it on a test drive. About ten min. later they come back, pop the hood and the turbo is glowing orange and stayed glowing for about 15-20 min (first time I have ever seen that).

Part 2

So I go over to my girls house last night. Just driving, nice and easy (about 10 min on the highway followed by about a 5 min drive through town)(also my car hates going slow 3k-3300 rpm). I get to her place. Let my car idle for 2 min then shut it down and pop the hood (Im just curious after seeing a turbo glowing as what mine looks like)
Now it was at night. I look at the turbo (T-78) and it had a very very slight glow to it (nothing even close to what I saw at the turbo II doing at the shop). If it was daylight I would of never seen it. In the past after running the car hard Ive never seen the turbo glow however I cant say it was something I looked for, But still I would not have missed that.

Is this normal or do I have a problem here?

The tuning is not the best, but I didnt feel it was all that bad either.

What do you guys think?

Thanks

I'd say its normal. Just be sure you aren't running lean.

Yeah my T04S glows slightly like you describe and I just got back from the dyno where we confirmed very conservative A/F ratios. I'd say it's OK.
