T-78? or Ebay kit?

For all with the T-78 kit, who would buy it again? Or do you suggest a different kit?

Maybe one of those $500 Ebay kits!..........Just kidding.

Would you buy the T-78?

Thanks

I would buy mine again, i have no problems with it at all. The lag time is overrated, and the turbo pulls like a mother fuc%er

I know that these issues have been posted before by PowerAxle-

The T-78 kit is far from a direct bolt on.

I bought my kit a few years back and maybe these issues have been addressed (but I somehow doubt it as IMHO Greddy "aka Trust" has the worst customer support in the import tuner business)

The installation documentation was not available translated from Japaneese.
The downpipe has to be "dimpled" to clear the ACV and EGR buldge on the LIM. The waste gate outlet needs to be plumbed back into the downpipe (unless you want it real loud) and the Oil drain line from the turbo to the oil pan needs to be replaced with a braided line and fittings covered in "fire braid" to help make the kit more reliable.

I don't have any experience with any other kits but my guess is that none of them would require as much "customizing" of the kit parts as the T78 does.

if you have a big port...go with the r85. feels like it has much more to offer up top than the t78 did. i had the t78 in my last car.

Have had T-78's on 2 of my cars and love it. I know very few people that hated the T-78.

T78 is the way to go. Like stated before the lag is so overrated. As long as your in the right gear, it pulls like a frieght train the moment you mash the peddle. If i were to go single turbo again, i would definately go with this kit again. Like Jason stated, I have yet to find someone who has hated the t78. You dont need instructions to install this kit, its pretty self explanitory if you ask me. The hardest part is figuring which of the braided steel lines goes to which part of the wastegate. And for the downpipe issue, a ball ended hammer takes care of it relatively easily.
