The wastegates stayed shut with no boost reference.
I think engine VE plummets due to high exhaust manifold pressure which lowers the exhaust output to drive the turbo proportionally.
I had the same thing happen on my old T04B 60-1 with 60mm wastegate. It had boost creep with the wastegate working, but if I disconnected the wastegate the engine couldn't even make full boost. On the 60-1 I actually physically deleted the wastegate with a block off plate. Seems counter intuitive.
Thanks. No boost creep what so ever, boost held solid 16.9-17.1. I will have to dig for the exhaust port pics, they are some old housings I ported 9 years ago (edit: found some). The port opened way eairly, and closed way late...the good engine I have for the car will have the same intake ports but the exhaust ports will not be as big.
Did some lowend tunning and was able to get 17psi at 3650rpm this was starting at 3400rpm in 4th gear.
You got some logs to show this happening?
So your saying in 250rpm from 3400rpm you managed to build 17psi going from no throttle to full throttle ? Not to mention all on a BUSH BEARING turbo with a 69mm compressor wheel?

i have the sxe s257, the BW sxe line is extremely slick. the one i have is the 7670 efr compressor, spool is insane, replaced the fd twins i had before and kept the 1500rpm spool. i am not and cannot vailadate his claim, but im saying its possible with the port work hes gone. mines all stock fc block.

He doesn't need to prove anything to me. I am simply asking the question. Whether he wants to answer it or not is totally up to him. Just hope no one buys a SXE369 expecting that result. That is the problem with forums, people make decisions on things that no one else seems to be able to reproduce. Then they get upset....
Took the car to the local 1000’ track. Had problems with getting a good 60’ with the tall first gear, I believe the clutch pack in the lsd going bad which led to me either bogging or blowing one tire off. Even on by best run it bogged to 2,900rpm. I ended up running a 7.9 @138.6 mph and 6.3 @ 120mph in the 1/8 with a 1.7 60’.
Currently I am on E70 with direct port water/meth secondaries Running 30lbs with a turbo speed of 116,000 in very humid air.

Yes I have the log somewhere buried in all my files. My 4th gear goes to 180 and it was in 34 degree F air and I was cruising at 72mph when started. I also have logs of me at 20 plus psi at 3,000rpm when I bogged my 60’ lol. I was not saying that this is what people to expect from this size turbo, more of just the fact I was surprised by it. Last week I was tuning a friends car on the same porting and turbo and we hit 17psi again at 3,700 rpm so it is repeatable though, his seemed to hit it easier because he is on the stock upper intake manifold that makes more lowend tq than the one I made, but after 6,500 my intake was using 5 to 10% more fuel.

Thanks. Its the fastest I have ever gone with a street car. I dont even think I could use high boost on the streets with out the traction control in the AEM.

Bogging a car and still having a boost and building boost by that rpm are not the same.

What did you trap in the 1/4?
No **** they are not the same lol, neither is boost threshold or transient boost response. I said I took it to a 1000’ track. Not sure what it would do in a 1/4. My 60 to 120 mph time was 3.58 seconds though.
Thanks! It is hitting 116,000 rpm on the turbo so I am guessing that its getting close to 700. However with the water/meth and the humid air that night, my guess that night It was putting down 640 to 660 rwhp. The water meth showed a 30hp loss on the dyno 630 @ 24psi and 600 @24 psi with the water meth turned on.
I should have turned the water meth off and probably would have got the 140+ in the 1000 that I was looking for. It was the state championships so there where no test n tune passes that I could have used to check the tune with it off so I didn't want to risk it.
