Dude, you answered your own damn question! It's called WELDING! There is no special name technique. It's called not having a mandrel bender or not using a madrel bender and making the bends by cutting up pipe and welding it back together!

There is a big difference between refurbed turbo's and manifold, and new turbo's and manifold. I personally don't care for reworked turbo's they usually seem to have problems of some kind.

So basically the only way to have it done is to go to a shop and have it custom fabricated?

it could ...but the cost would be alot higher and pluming of the wastegates is a big problem with the limited amount of room we have there..actually the internal gates are fine... the HKS/border twin kits both use these turbos with the internal wastegates

milkman2k52 when a manifold or header is cut up and welded back together it is because the material that was used is titanium and is extreamly hard to bend at that thickness it is mainly done in japan on their race cars because it is very light and notice that it is always unfinished (also for weight)

Thank you 91fc. So it's because the titanium is too thin to bend or too thick? I'm guessing thin for there are some disadvantages to running thicker manifolds/headers.

We haven't given anything up,we will have this kit out by spring, just like we promised. Poweraxel gets the first kit once all the bugs are worked out.

Thanks,Sean

<cough> You're not </cough>

Don't forget about me.

However, these are not stock manifold twins, and I believe there are a few Aussies/Kiwis and the Hit Man (maybe?) who have custom manifold twin turbo solutions already. Kevein Wyum also has a custom twin solution.

It's great to see the new developments that have occured over the last year. Pretty exciting for everyone, both singles and twins.

Beast

PS - just found out my wideband isn't accurate during dataloging due to a floating ground. Was running high 11 afrs at 16 psi (eeek). No wonder the car was so fast.

I'm back to pig rich until I get my ground rewired.

was there not a software update that deals with the grounding difference? Someone mentioned something to that effect...but then again its two am and I am sleepy as hell.

Software is fixed, but need to fix my wiring

The software was enhanced to properly calculate based on the ground issue, but I need to move my ground wire and activate the right calculation switch on the software. Then I'll be accurate when I log.

In the mean time, I just did another run and 'eyeballed' my maps back to 10.5 ~11 at p19 without logging and just watching my display (I have some steep grades on the highway so I can hold cells under boost for long enough to just use the commander), so I'm good again. I've also disconnected my smog pump activation switch and did some idle and na smoothing. I think I'm up with SPO now - no traction at all in second, wants to break loose in third. I gotta find a local dynojet - I just posted on the West Coast forum to see where the nearest local one is so I can get comparisons to SPO. I'm gonna be pissed if I am over 400 on a dynojet - I could have beat him. Oh, well.

Well, maybe you wont make 400 then you wont be pissed

LOL

j/k

Oh yea, go to Dynojets website and there is a section with all the Dynojets listed. You can enter you zip in there and find all the shop close to you. You have any idea what mph you'r traping in the 1/4? It your over 400 it should be low 120's

Later,
STEPHEN
