Swap Microtech LT8 with PFC

Swap Microtech LT8 with PFC
Hey guys,
I have a single turbo setup that is running off a Microtech LT8. I just got a PFC & commander. I was wondering is there any danger to swapping the LT8 with the PFC? Do I need to have this done at a shop that can edit the map before I drive the car? The PFC has the base map loaded.
I have read that the PFC learns various settings so I was wondering if it would be safe to do a direct swap.
