Street port turbo question

This question is for my friend that has a 88 GXL.
Has a large street port. Done by previous owner.
Car has around 250 hp+ with just the street port. It moves. But he was wondering if it would be best to:

Keep large street and boost it.
Or
Bridge port it to boost it.

Any suggestions?

Think of porting on a rotary more like changing the cam in a piston engine. More of what you are doing is affecting the timing of the intake and exhaust.

So whatever porting is done needs to be done with the turbo application in mind.

Also, what is the car to be used for? Is this a street car? Does it have to pass emissions? Is it a drag car? AutoX, road courses?

All this comes into play.

Depending on what it is used for you may want to forego the radical porting and keep the rpm range where you can make the beast use of it

Basically he wants to be able to
drive down the street
Drag it when he wants
Drift it when he wants
Idk how that would affect the car....

All depends what power your shooting for. Lots of turbos for different hp needs. How much hp is he trying to achieve?
