I am doing my Single conversion and removing my stock FPR to replace with an aftermarket one. I was also told I should remove the Fuel pulsation dampner which is fitted to the primary fuel rail.. Is this the case?
I read somewhere these are a fairly common failing point which can lead to engine bay fires? from that point of view I would say it's a good idea to get rid! Just want to make sure it will have no adverse effects to the running of my engine.

Most aftermarket fpr have a fpd build in. Aeromotive does anyway. If yours does then yes you should remove the stock one.

I got an FSE regulator... Not sure if it's got one built in or not?? Will have to see if I can google it.. I have heard people do away with them anyway without any problems??

When injectors open and close they cause reverberating pulses that can supposedly damage componentents in a fuel injection system. A fpd absorbes these pulses.which is also supposed to improve system performance. Whether or not the likelyhood is very high for something to get damaged i have no idea. I would rather risk that then risk an engine fire though.

Think I will take the same view there.. Don't fancy frying the car I have spent many pain staking hours working on!
