The stock secondary rail can be modified to use top feed 1680cc secondaries. If this is what you are doing then you can use the stock FPR. I have done this in the past and a friend of mine is currently using this setup.

Just to clarify, you are speaking of having done this to a 3rd gen with a side feed secondary rail? I'm curious to know what ths mod looks like and how it was accomplished.

Sorry...
I mean... how did you make it fit? I thought that 1600cc's didn't fit...
did you use some special o-rings or something?

The top three holes of the rail need to be sealed off (welded or JB weld). Spacers are used to set the rail high enough to sit on top of the injectors. I think I did use smaller orings around the top of the injectors and the bottom injector holes were drilled out a little.

How about that action.. golf clap to you for the ingenuity. I like it.

Is there anything inside of the rail that "holds" the injector in there besides the o-ring? What I mean is, is there some sort of stop in the side feed housing or could enough boost pressure push the injector up inside of it?

The opening is enlarged but not drilled all the way through. There is a small lip that stops the injector from being pushed into the rail.

I can't take all the credit here. I saw it done elswhere and at the time and I had a very small budget so I used this setup until I could make my own custom primary and secondary fuel rails to house primary and secondary top feed injectors (which turned out to be protoype versions of the KG rails.)
