You can't get good comparisons of response on X turbo versus Y turbo unless it is on the same car, same setup. Too many variables. IC plumbing, IC core, different port work, different timing, different exhaust just to name a few. 500R and the TO4Z are very similar. But numbers can vary greatly even with the same turbo on different cars.

I hope you really mean 400hp and not 400rwhp...even 340rwhp (~400hp) is hard to swallow at 10psi, so please post up your dyno sheet.

So we don't need dyno sheets anymore I suppose. Hell, my car feels like it has 600 rwhp at 15 psi when I take it for spin, with no lag. Yippee

I did 321rwhp on my 500R with the fuel lines crossed and iradic air/fuel ratios. It's ready to be retuned again but XS moved and their dyno is down untill january so I may use Signal Auto but will have to wait for the funds. My car felt extremely fast the first week, now I need more. Please sir, may I have some more? Both kits are pretty close in power but i'd like to see which kicks in sooner and which has more top end.

btw kid: votre épellation anglaise est le mauvais de vert.

ok, so it takes approximately 17lbs to acheive 450whp with the 500R and 16lbs/1.1bar for the T04Z to acheive 450PS. Yes, different cars but both with 3" exhaust. I really doubt anyone has had both of these on the same car. 500R kicks off ate about 3200rpm's and full boost about 3500rpm's but that is all approximate since i'm not able to record it to verify. So we can assume the T04Z kicks off at 3500rpms and full boost at what, 3750rpms? ...we don't know becuase no one with a T04Z by HKS or Garrett replica has chimed in here.

GoRacer, so you're seeing 17 psi by 3500ish rpms? If so, that makes me a happy as a pig in ****. with my long runner mani and 4" exhaust, I should have some killer low end

^ no no, i'm at 10lbs. My boost kicks off at about 3200rpms and full boost (10lbs) at about 3500rpms (instant boost). 450whp @ 17lbs is based from Broken09's numbers. I'm just doing a comparison from the japanese tuners using at least 93 octane gas and 3" exhaust (ported motor)with a T04Z @1.1bar(16lbs) vs Broken09's 500R @ 17lbs with 3" exhasut getting the same 450whp with more boost on ported motor with 93oct pump gas.

Since both of you are now using a 4" exhaust, it is way more efficient but then I can't compare results with 4" exhaust and 3" exhaust.

I'm just trying to get more comparison data posted since there are plenty of people that bought T04Z's and 500R's. These were my two choices when I diceded to go single. Both have similar power, both can be had with short runner manifolds retaing the air pump, both are ball bearing, both T4, etc. I don't beleive I will get 450whp at 1.1bar with 3" exhaust on 91oct. I am now expecting to be 400rwhp @15lbs on 91oct and if I get less I will be dissapointed.

Freakin` DARN Tuning! Hey when I go single can I use your tune? I'll talk to you more about it later. I'll need something for a break in period before a real tune. We'll talk about it later...

id also like to see GoRacer's numbers and everything... i was thinkin of the same thing GT35R with short manifold... hoping for 400rwhp at 1bar

GT35R (T4) short manifold will give around 400rwhp at 1bar
GT35R (T3) short manifold will give around ??? at 1bar?.... i know that the reponce will be slightly better with a T3, but will i really notice a differnce with sacrificing the slightly increased power with a T4??

Sucks that you cali guys need to use the shorty manifold. According to sean, it hurts spool and top end.

just to add in.. i recently did some datalogs on a customers gt500r stock port FD. we see 15+psi right around 4500/4600rpms. initial spooling is instant and response is obviously great... but after 10psi it just sort of creeps as expected from a decent sized turbo. 3" dp/exhaust, greddy fmic kit, apex boost controller, yadda yadda hahaha

this is STOCK port tho.

Maybe something is wrong there cuz I'm seeing 15 about 500 rpm under that with stock ports

o **** thats right isnt it, about the shorty manifold.... for some reason i always that the spool and top end would be better with the short manifold
