Thanks for all the nice words guys, the car was down for awhile so it's nice just to cruise around town. I'm still trying to determine if the exhaust is too loud for my tastes or not, I think it'll be ok

Rich. what's been coated and what's is simply polished metal under your hood. One of the issues I've had is keeping it looking good. That always seems to be a PITA.

Rich,

You should try rotating the compressor 75 deg clockwise. You could probably replace the 90 deg ic coupler with a 45 and possibly replace the 120 with a 90 off the compressor. You'd pick up a few points in efficiency right there. It might free up some room for a larger air filter or a duct.

Because they suck in more ways than one? It looks like he has plenty of room to work with and could even fab up a cold air setup.

Believe it or not, there isn't much room for a bigger filter. the rad is pushed pretty far back and as it is the upper rad hose is pushing up against the filter near where it meets the radiator inlet.

Chris, thanks for the input on the piping. I'm going to look into that. At this point I'm just happy to be driving the damn car

Yeah, I know how you feel. One of the many reasons I like the ceramic coating is b/c there is minimal upkeep.

The only polished parts are the tb, greddy elbow, and cold side ic pipe. The UIM, LIM, rad filler neck, misc brackets (like the fan relay bracket) and the exhaust mani/dp/turbine are all ceramic coated.

Would you suggest not using any filter? As I've already stated, I know the foam filters are crap. I don't intend on letting my filter dry out to the point where it will disintegrate.
The car will probably also never move under it's own power again, so I'm not that concerned.
I'm sure Rich is well aware of the reputation of the foam filters. It also looks like if he follows the suggest recommendation he will have plenty of room to put a proper sized filter or ducting on his big boy turbo.

Ok, seems like I've finally chased down and addressed all the minor issues. Drove the car today, boost seems to hold to about 1 bar. I didn't rev the car past 5k rpms b/c I'm not confident in the tune as-is. I'm not hoping not to see much creep once I am able to redline this monster .

Boost comes on very quick, much quicker than my old non-seq BNR setup. I was hoping to gain a lot in the 3k to 4k rpm range in spool, and that has definitely happened .

I also spent some time cleaning up a lot of my wiring (ign amp, water inj) with electrical tape and looming. Definitely long overdue, cleans up the engine bay a bit.

I took a video of the car idling and free-revving which I'll post up soon!

Did you always use that upper radiator hose? I had what looks like the same one in mine and it leaked slightly from a few of the attachment points.

There really is very little room for a filter between the radiator hose and the IC piping. I have issues getting the primary turbo's filter on and I'm running twins with a Greddy FMIC and Koyo.

Looks great overall. I wouldn't worry too much about the IC piping on the hotside. Winds up being a cost/benefit thing. It works now. Getting a straighter shot to the IC is gonna cost you some $$ to cut and weld and the time to R&R the IC and stuff.

Glass, looks like your engine bay is coming along man, it's lookin' good so far.

Re: ducting, I'm running stock pop ups headlights and dual R1 oil coolers, so my options are pretty limited. I could run a 90 degree bend off the compressor and some 4 inch diameter flex hose to the driver's side corner of the engine bay by the block, but don't really know if I want to go to all that trouble.

Here's the vid of her idling:

http://videos.streetfire.net/categor...a70165c981.htm

Before anyone mentions it, I plan to move the exhaust tip inward about 3-4 inches. The exhaust has flex sleeves in between each section (dp to mp and mp to cb) so there is a lot of front to back adjustment available.
