QUOTE=Erdin;10437178]Is that a normal compressor cover? Do all the 45 come with the v band outlet on the compressor housing?[/QUOTE]
No It did not cone with it , I had it welded on.
I finally got my clutch problems sorted , will be going back to the dyno soon. during the last dyno session it made 350RWHP at 10psi and 6200rpm before the clutch started slipping .We found that for that boost the motor wasnt making the power and ANY increase in ignition timing (no matter how small) would cause power to jump by 10's and 20's ! This made me nervious since the settings in my ignition map were now wayyyy too agressive , so we just backed down the timing and called it a day .
I later found out after that session that it was important for me to set up the IGNITION DELAY COMPENSATION on my ViPec (which I did not do at the time ),because I didn't the ignition timing was being retarded up to 10deg on acceleration ! this obviously hurt performance !
The IGNITION DELAY COMPENSATION is used to eliminate what is called "Reluctor Retard" , as explained in the instruction manual ,from the initial sensing of the timing at the ignition pick ups , then the signal transmission , ECU calculation and transmission to the ignitor / amplifier , the spark generation of the spark in the coils and finally the transpission to the plugs there is a certain time delay . This delay , although in micro seconds is seen as a retard in the ignition timing especiall at the higher RPm's where everything is required to occur a lot faster .
This is what Ray Hall had to say about it " If you have the delay at zero, then the ignition will retard on acceleration and hurt engine performance under acceleration. If the engine decelerates under full load then you can get detonation. The deceleration under full load, can come from a automatic changing gears or while tuning on a dyno, a..."
I have now set this up , from 0 its now at 105 (max is 200) where the ignition timing remains rock solid at any RPM . I hope to finally get my setup to do what its meant to .
