single turbo setups
Guys I am going single finally. I just don't know which turbo I should really get. I have heard great things about the gt35r kit and the T04z. I also have been looking at the gt40r. Can anyone lead me in some direction in which I should go. I don't want a lot of turbo lag. If someone could help me make my set up and tell me how much horse power I would be looking at with the setups it would be very appreciated.
Thanks

Ok guys First off, not all people are looking for the same power grades for their cars.
Second of all wouldn't you rather help people set up their cars for single turbos rather than bashing them? Hell I know that I would pass on my knowledge of subjects like this. Anyway I am trying to achieve minimal turbo lag and hopefully push around 400hp. The car is going to be a street legal track car. It is also going to be kicking some of these ls1 camaros asses around my town that think they are just the hip **** now days. lol Anyway give me some options guys.

Sounds like your similar to me. The 500R-SP turbo kit from A-Spec is excellent for the track and I loved using it this year. When my turbine housing was new, I'd get 1 bar by ~3,800 RPM. If you have any plans at all of autocross, then a 35r would be more up your ally but it sounds like you want it for actual tracks. Word of advice though, do not use a turbo blanket on the track!
This year, I'm putting a Precision Billet 6765 in and see how that goes

We are in no way bashing you. I can promise you that if you searched, there would be a 100% chance that your question would be answered.
Go GT35R. Im making around 500whp on one. Youd make your 400whp goal on a stock motor at around 14psi.

trust me if i was bashing you you would know!
However. the average person here wants the same hp (400-500hp) and wants a easily spooling turbo.
All i have to say is cheap turbos give you cheap results & the more power you make the more fuel, ignition youll need. & things break more frequently

OP,
No one is bashing, but they probably could. I think you will find that many owners will be willing to help, provided you have at least tried to help yourself first. Once you have done your research, narrowed your choices, then ask some questions.
Honestly, did you search before you posted?
Good luck.

/\ THE FIRST sticky (post your single turbo setups) shows people like you with what they have & how much power you made. you can easily go there to see a wideband of turbo setups to know what you looking for

Thanks for all those that have helped I will hopefully be ordering my set up monday. And for all those who were wondering, yeah I have been doing my research for over a year now. My rx7 hasnt been in tip top running condition ever since I bought it, so i have had plenty of time to learn about these things. I just wanted to know some set ups that people prefer since there are so many variations of parts of the market now days. anway, thanks guys, i guess if you have any other advice to give me just let me know.

Search (not the same message as previously written) for single build threads. I learned so much from those. A single turbo might be a part, but a single turbo install is a project. Share the laughter and the tears with previous members in their threads. I made mine to give back when I stumble across an issue that wasn't apparent to me. :-)
