Single turbo Parts Help

I'm currently getting together the parts I need to upgrade to a big single turbo conversion.

Currently have:
Apexi AVC-R
Apexi PowerFC (not fitted)
FEED 3" Downpipe
HKS 3" Midpipe (not fitted)
HKS 3" Catback (not fitted)
NGK Spark plugs/leads
ACT 6 Puk Clutch & Chromoly flywheel
Various Gauges and other things to monitor

Parts am looking at:
GT42RS turbo
HKS V-Mount kit
PWR Radiator
HKS GT2 Wastegate
Turbosmart BOV
New fuel rail with 850cc/1600cc injectors
2 x Bosch fuel pumps & dual fuel pump mount kit
Greddy Oil catch can
PTS Racing Apex steel seals & Mazda seal kit
Doweling for the block
Braided oil lines
Custom exhaust manifold
Greddy 2-Pulley kit (eliminate air pump)

Still not sure what to go with in the way of oil cooler - should probably be upgraded but do the likes of HKS make a good oil cooler kit for the fd3s?

Is there anything else im missing besides just the piping from the above list?
Am going to rebuild the engine with a Stage2 port - Would these parts be good for around 400rwkw?

awesome, thats what i want to hear
im looking at a few different surge tanks but im still stuck on what to get in the way of oil coolers. am from NZ so I have a later series 7 fd3s with the twin coolers already - im not sure if this is still enough or if I will have to upgrade these, and if so with what...

also is 1 60mm wastegate enough for the GT42? I want to aim for around 21PSI boost - but ill leave it up to the tuner to let me know what will be safe to run it at

it depends on what you want to do with the car if the oil coolers will be enough. if you want to road race it, it would be wise to upgrade to some larger coolers.

i have'nt ran the 42 personally so when i say a 60mm wastegate is probably enough, you would be wise to look into it some more. i think twin 44mm's would be better suited.

60mm gate is fine, that turbo in T6 frame is good for roughly 800whp. At 21psi figure low to mid 500whp isnt too hard depending on level of tune.

You need some ignition booster of some sort. If you are using the Power FC you could use an HKS Twin Power with 2nd gen coils, making sure to use resistor-type plugs per HKS recommendation. You may not need to dowel pin the motor but you should at least use studs.

thanks for the info.
well instead of fitting this PFC then - do you think it might be better to sell it off and get a Microtech and run an LT10s with an X4 ignitor? putting the PFC in was worrying me a bit with its support in the project, but it was cheap and plug n play

Go PFC + HKS Twin Power and 2nd gen coils or go Haltech with aftermarket coils, especially since you are a lot closer to Haltech headquarters in Australia than most people on here. do you really want a system (Microtech) that doesn't let you save your maps to disk????

Gt42R is a pretty decent size turbo. You might not need something like that, maybe a Gt40R instead.
