Single turbo conversion/Stock ECU/ YOUR INPUT

Okay I have done a TO4Z single turbo conversion on my FD. I am still running the car with the stock ECU and stock injectors/fuel rails. I have a port job and rebuilt block from Atkins Rotary, Aeromotive FPR w/ guage, Walbro 255lph fuel pump, Greddy BOV, Synapse Wastegate, ETS FMIC and air pump elimination pulley kit. I have the waste gate set to the lowest setting about 5.5 psi.

My question is: Have any of you, who are experienced, have had success running your 7 with stock ECU or fuel system with a single turbo setup?

I imagine that the car wouldn't probably run perfect with this setup, but would run relatively well especially considering the low boost. My problem is that (1) I am not making ANY boost (2) On the AEM wide band O2 it shows that I am at 10.5 at idle, but when I give it just a little bit of gas it shoots up to 16 and higher. So it is leaning so far out and starving for fuel the car won't go anywhere. I couldn't get over 60mph on the highway the other day.

My brother and I have been wracking our brains wondering why is this happening??? Yes, I do plan on buying the PFC and a highly upgraded fuel system and really do want to do some tuning on it. STILL I should think that the car would run decently even though these last two upgrades have not been done yet.

A couple of things I want to bounce off of you that might be a problem is (1) Faulty O2 sensor (2) Faulty map sensor (3) Faulty stock injectors, or (4) I just need to get a fuel computer??? Do you think that any of these 4 things are the problem.

Thanks in advance, because I am running out of ideas.

Get a powerfc.
I dont know why people stuff around with items that hardly work in standard form let alone modified.

your fuel pressure is probably higher than stock so it's running really rich at idle, that's not helping. you could also have a big boost leak, you need to pressure test for leaks (it's way better than a visual check).

it doesn't matter though. running the stock/nonchipped ECU with anything more than really basic boltons is stupid even on the stock twins

I ran my car with the stock injectors for a short time, While i broke it in. Then out of curiosity i did a little boost tuning. I have a t64 and even with only 10 psi injector duty went to 100 percent a couple times. Afrs were always safe but i upgraded the injectors immediately after this. I tried running the stock computer like the first day i put the rebuild in but was having other issues and went ahead and put the pfc in. I would think the car would run ok with the stock computer as long as all the solenoids had resistors put on them to keep from throwing codes and going into limp mode. But even if the car will run it will never run correctly without a good tune on an aftermarket ecu

^ Thanks, Great friendly help. Thanks also for the other input, guys, even the sarcastic ones.

YES, I completely realized that the car does need the PFC, as I stated earlier, and I am really close to buying it along with the fuel system. I guess I just wasn't sure how far out the stock ECU could go and thought that it would have done better than it has.

But that really confirms what I thought. Guess I'll park the car for awhile and wait to get the goodies
