hi, i got my FD with a single TO4Z turbo kit from the RX7 store. with Power FC and all the preperations for a single turbo conversion. I was driving one afternoon...i floored the gas pedal and the wastegate opened and after my car started stalling after i slowed downed and the car started slowing down! anyone have any ideas that might have caused this?? (injectors??) thanks for the help

You didn't mention anything about tuning if you didn't have the car tuned, you just blew your engine.


start looking for blown off vacuum lines...and keep your fingers crossed.

 

the car is not tunned yet...but i wasent boosting that much..i only went like 4k rpm..the engine also sitting for abt 1.5 years...from my other FD i totaled..im hoping its just a vacum line..

 

You floored it and didn't past 4k RPM's?Seems hard to believe..And the engine has been sitting for a year and a half without being started occasionally?Good luck with everything..

I think we would all love you give you a more positive outlook, but from the details you provided, you neglected to do all the proper prep/mods prior to taking your car out with a fairly large single.

 

 

Cross your fingers and hope your band new over priced turbo didn't munch a seal or two
