Which Single?

I just got my engine and turbos put back in my car from being out of commission for 14 months. The turbos were from Turbo City, new stocks, and have started blowing tremendous smoke and not spooling after high revs after about 2000 miles. So now I'm confronted with either getting twins (uh, hell now) or going single. I don't know which set up I want. The Apex'i RX-6 seems to be the simplest install, I have read that the T-78 requires some cutsom grinding on the lower intake manifold and the downpipe clearance is too small etc.. What do you guys think? I appreciate it.

Personally I would want an APEXi RX6 (IHI), but I don't even have my RX-7 yet. So upgrading turbo is far from my main bit of thought.
However the t04r ( Garrett / HKS ), and other ball bearing turbos have came to my attention somewhat recently, also the KKK ( Blitz ) line of turbos, I believe its the K27.
I like all of these because they have quick response. I doubt I would ever need the HP that most of these turbos could produce, so fast response is the main thing I was considering.

But the best way to get help around here on selection is figure out what RPM you would like full boost, how much HP at certain PSI's, and max HP, etc, etc.
The more details you give these guys, the more specific they can get.
