Hi there all

I have the opportunity to buy a custom intake that was used on a 13b series 4 block and what i was wondering was are the intake runners in the same position as the cosmo block i have a cosmo 13b intake flange can i just swap them and use that on my cosmo engine?

thanks in advance people.

13BT LIM and REW/Cosmo RE engines use very different port sizes/ bolt patterns. If it was designed for a 13BT, coming from the stock Cosmo LIM/UIM I would say you are probably reducing the port sizes (as you know, the cosmo intake ports are much larger than 13BT)

Yep, it will not bolt up.

You'll have to remake the flange, and since the runners come into the RE irons at an angle, the size of the entry into the iron is much larger then the S5/S4 versions.

i did the rew intake upper and lower on my s4 t2 project all the holes line up eccept the top front hole on the lower manifold to block i had my machist cut it off and move it to the right spot then welded it back on and i grounded the welds down and polished it and it looks factory. thats the only difference on the clocks if you need ui can take or draw a pic of what i am talking about. but its a real easy swap

If you can find an REW to S5 flange you can mod it. They are the same bolt pattern.

Siamesed primary runners?? YUK!! I wonder why this is for sale.

You guys are wasting your time making the RE manifolds fit on the S4/5 blocks. Even if you get it to bolt up, it'll take conseiderable reworking of the port entrance to make those line up worth a damn. The RE and REW ports enter the irons at a down angle, were the S4/5 enter it perpendicular. Your essentually doing that mod for Looks or Bling unless you re-work the ports on the irons. It woult be better to mod the S4/5 lower and make a RE upper fit then using the RE upper and power on a S4/5 block.
