HKS FC3S,

aside from DIYMAN's turbo failure with the T04R, how many other turbo nut failures have you seen with HKS turbo kits? I have a friend who bought a brand new T04R kit from HKS (trust me it's new) and the exact same thing happened to his turbo within a few thousand miles.

PTE67 is as close to identical to a T04R as law allows.

I like HKS - but their turbos are just ridiculously priced.

HKSfc, im sorry you didn't see this thread sooner, it may have saved you some trouble. DIYMAN aka devilfc posted these pics a while ago on a fc sight. It's obvious the turbo is NOT new when he is installing it into his car.

And yes this would come out of my very own mouth, an employee at HKS, if it ever happend to me. And what? He decided to get a T04Z instead? Spend even more money on a HKS turbo, the same company that has caused him so much time and grief? And he is going to put it on? HAHAHAHA. It just does not make sense to me.

I helped him on the phone as much as I could. I have to follow a set rule of policy because I am an employee. Warranty, returns, etc., there are strict rules in which I have to follow. The turbo was out of warranty so I gave him recommendations on some really good turbo rebuild shops. What's wrong with that? I tried to help this guy as much as possible and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I helped him get the turbo cheap.

DIYMAN25. All I want is an apology from you that you lied to me, XS, SP and everyone else on this forum and other forums you have posted on. You got what you want. If you were a decent guy you would come clean. You cannot deny that you did not lie, there is too much evidence and witnessed to what happened..
I Like HKS Stuff and believe the Quality of their stuff should be very good . so thats why I believe the Bullet nut on my T04R should just be a add case. infact I really like T04R that why. I go for a exact same turbo but BB version(T04Z). however in my cause HKS USA handel this case totoaly wrong. they should adj prolem( diganostic why the bullet nut fall off, my case is not only one ) instead they blaming the owner of the turbo for every thing. so I am not origional owner of the turbo. but during 2004 AUG one of HKS PRO dealer(XS) check and retune my FD agin( first time is 2003 jun. I got all my receipt) and the T04R was working fine until one night the bullet nut fall off. and as the current owner of this turbo . I just dont got my right???( yes I undersand the warrenty is only for 3 months but this is not normal thing that happend) you must be joking right. HKS USA blame me for their bullet nut fall off.

OH well botton line. THe bullet nut of HKS T04R do fall off , and my case is not the first one. I believe HKS USA should diagnostic why the nut fall off. instead they are picking on me.

Why does Umrswimr (a Corvette owner and enthusiast) practically live in the General Automotive forum of an RX-7 Forum?

Because he found an audience to provide him with the attention that he required...
