what sorta filter are you guys running?

i think the only option i have is a mushroom filter...so for those of you who have one, what are the dimensions?

they are offered in 4inch id which is what i need but i need to know the length and the width

 

depending on your manifold, 7-8 inch long is about the biggest you will be able to fit. K&N has all sorts of custom sizes you can get. If you don't care about brands go to Pep Boys and get a Spectre or some other brand like that. They will be sitting on the shelf at some places. It might be a "universal fit" with a 4 inch inlet and a reducer for applications with smaller inlets. Width (total outer diameter) isn't a big deal, just get an actual tapered cone shape (not a cylinder).



but a full cylinder like this might not fit



Do you have the stock clutch fan? That makes it significantly harder because of the fan shroud.

 

yea stock mechanical fan+ RE manifold+35r=no room...lol

i think im gonna get a K&N RU-2510 because i dont wanna suck in little pieces of a dried out shroom filter
