Intake opens 32° ATDC
Intake closes 40° ABDC
Exhaust opens 75° BBDC
Exhaust closes approx 40° ATDC (ported to close 2mm later than stock 38°)

These plates are from a 1982 12A. The housings are from a US-spec 1976 Cosmo. I guess you guys know them as the RX-5.

Hey Jobro, if given the choice, should I go full 3"? I ask because I've got another project here that can use all my 2.5" parts.

So, full 3"? I like the thought of fast spool, especially with so many u-bends. I want/need low end torque! Don't require anything past 7k really, but an 8k limit is fine. Stock 3mm apex seals and stock ports.

I would probably go that way but the thing is the noise trade off. I really like BIG mufflers which you can't do because of your space constraint so the noise might be more overbearing. Either way the new found power will be great.

I went with two Magnaflow 18" 4x9 center/offset 3" core mufflers and three 3" u-bends. This should end up quieter than PercentSevenC's car which has bigger ports, a small 3" presilencer and one Magnaflow 18" 5x8 center/center 3" core.

2x 18"x4"x 9" 3" centre offsets should do very nicely I think! That is roughly the same amount of muffler size as my big rear muffler but yours has extra length/perforated length which may be an advantage not sure.

Yes! The slight S curve is a small compromise in flow, but I really like the extra core length it provides.

All I have to go on is how Percent's setup sounds with his port job and muffler sizes, so I think mine will be quieter with smaller ports and longer mufflers.

I just picked up a *new T04E 57 trim with a p-trim hotside and a 1.32 AR housing. This is for the other baja with a 74 ported R5 13B with T2 exhaust ports. All that is needed is to swap to a 1.00 divided housing.

*This turbo has been test run on an engine but was never driven as far as I know. It has a very light carbon coating on the turbine blades. It also still needs a v-band welded to it.

Measurements I was able to get:

cold
minor 2.227" 56.56mm
major 2.950" 74.93mm

hot
minor 2.525" 64.13mm
major 2.898" 73.60mm

These readings are approx as I don't know quite where to hold the digital caliper

Comp housing 2.75" inlet, 2" outlet .60 AR

Will this be perfect for a 13B, other than the current exhaust housing?

OK this turbo is a T04E12 likely from an Isuzu NPR.

Looking for a .84 divided exhaust housing for cheap. Needs a 3" v-band. Anyone?
