On the road again T66 Pics

This is for the guys at the Yahoo 3rd Gen Group also. Note the conversion on Greddy SMIC to liquid as per my fabbed aluminum coolant tank w/ cap off. The nose shows its own radiator. Also, in three weeks I'm heading off to RX7.Com for Chris Ott to dyno in the Power FC. You guys like the twin Crane LX 90 lead coils mounted to the N-Tech BMK? The Jacobs rotary Pac can't burn these beeeatches up. God I wish I knew how to post pix witin the text.

Nice car, sweet engine, any numbers?.

The water intercooler. Do you just pour water in it? How long does it last before you have to refill? How much does it hold? What the advantages of having it over a regular intercooler, other than allowing your radiator to get more air to it.

Looks great, very nice car. I would like to compare the T-66, to slows T-70, and My T-72 once I get it going and back on the dyno.

Mark57 is Your 66 a ball bearing?

Nice air-to-water intercooler. That thing will make incredible power with A2W over A2A if the core is large enough. You'll love it, man.

Hey, where's Houma in LA anyways? I'll be driving out to New Orleans in several days to visit a friend for several days -- is it near there?

Houma is about 50 mi. s.w. of New Orleans off Hwy. 90. I'm 44 mi. from the airport. There is a New Orleans RX7 club called Sevens on the Shore.....we usually meet at the lakefront on Lake Pontchartrain. Most everyone is gettin' back on the road after doing engine and turbo changes.

The car is going to Rotary Performance for dyno time on May 7th.

The T66 is not ball bearing.

I used header wrap on the turbo pipe; it'll hold up.

The I/C has its own dedicated large aftercooler and a large Jabsco pump to keep things circulating and cool. Gonna put air temp gauges before and after the I/C.

Thanks

It tastes deliciously blingalicious.

20B Junkie: This is a closed system - it's not losing any coolant and the coolant is the same mix as what is runnin' in the motor and it's about 2 gallons - it is not shared with the engine. The circulation pump is wired such that it is juiced up when ya turn the key. it is always circulating the coolant mix. I believe A2L t be be more efficient than A2A; remember this is a Greddy SMIC refabricated to have coolant cooling it and the coolant is cooled by yet another radiator located up front which is rubber isolated and the bumper rebar removed and the bumper neatly trimmed to accomodate the additional radiator. The plumbing was done by this dude who is a welder who is an expert in s.s.

My friend runs an A2L I/C he fabbed from a Thunderbird S/C I/C with a Toyota 4Runner aftercooler radiator trimmed down to fit. He runs low 12's w/ a Hayes Rotary streetport motor and non-seq stock twins; airtrack all hogged out. It stays quite very cool. It's polished and looks so damned beautiful and he did it for next to nothing; it works much better than a big $$$ FMIC.

The wheels are Fikse FM10 - 17's

Got 'em from PFS when they were on sale at $600 ea. - 8.5 FR and 10 R.

I ordered a dual channel air temp gauge by AutoMeter from Jeg's and I still haven't received it. The exit pipe is much cooler than the intake pipe at the I/C. I'm gonna call those "F"ers and ask, "Bee-yotch, where my gauge bee-yat?" Their TV commercial is F-O-S.

I want it to monitor that all-important parameter.
