Hey guys,

I'll be installing a single kit from Aspec pretty soon and I have my motor out to do some initial repairs and cleanup. While everything is out I'd like to reroute the passenger ABS line to avoid melting it with the turbo later on . I've seen people mention this but I haven't seen any write-ups or mention about where you actually route the line through. It seems like I should be able to run it up through the hole on the side of the engine bay near the firewall that several other wires come through. However, the problem I noticed last night was that the ABS wire really does need to run from the brake almost straight into the engine bay to avoid hitting the wheel itself. I guess I could try and run the wire straight at the engine bay, but then instead of going through the hole, run it behind the plastic wheel well cover up to the hole near the firewall, but I don't think the wires are long enough. Do you guys just extend the wires a little bit?

Don't cut the wire. I'm not an electician, but the wire is shielded and I have never had any luck trying to repair broken ones.

 

When I put in my 35R kit from A-Spec I just put the wire inside a thermal sleeve to protect it. I also have everything ceramic coated, so that probably helps a little as well.
