VA replacing coolant lines to CHRA

What are you guys using to replace the rubber hose that comes through the turbo? My aspec kit came with a 3/8" rubber hoses nylon wrapped, my concern is that is sitting above the turbo and may get too hot. I am trying to switch over to ss braided line, but it seems pretty hard to connect to the hard line on the water housing...so far I have cut the nipples off the hard line, but -6 is too tight and -8 seems too big.

Any suggestions?

Fire sleave over the hose. Its the orange rubbery-looking sheath stuff. Most hydraulic stores carry it. DEI makes it in black if you are picky. Really any lines routed near the exhaust or turbo should be shielded from the heat.
