Red RX-7...Mike...
Mike why did you not go with a T-78 ? I am considering the T-78 and I saw that PFS/ Jim Swankos car put down 425 rwhp at 15 psi and 485 rwhp at 22 psi...I am curious as to how your set up performs at comprable boost levels.

The reason I didn't go with the T78, was due to 'the silly driveability'.
I have spoken to 1,000,000,000 people about the possible different turbo setups. And of course, everyone said that the T78 was near the top of the limits for street.
I don't mind NOT being the fastest car on the block, but I wanted to be able to 'go' when I press the gas.
Peter (RiceRacing) has made 5XX rwhp with his 60-1. I spoke to Bri (BDC) and he made mid 4XX rwhp with his 60-1 with all the same boost & supposovly a 1000-2000 rpm sooner!
So thats why I choose the 60-1. Now, you ask me when mine spools up? heh, DIE!
I am unhappy with the 'full boost rpm time' of the car thus far. Keep in mind, I do have a divided tang, with an 'UNDIVIDED manifold. That air pressure is slapping a nice 1/5th of an inch pier dividing the tang. That is killing my airflow. (Hence why I am on to crispeed to make me an undivided manifold).
The main difference between the T78 & 60-1 in my eyes, is that you are limited to how much you can take it up too. Sure we have comparable HP #'s @ 10-12-15-17 psi of boost. But, @ 20, its a different story. The T78, you can run a good amount above 20 psi.
It kills me to think about running 20+ psi. I haven't ran my car much more than 14.5 psi, and its too much of a monster.
I am putting the KAAZ in next week. Then I place the slicks /or/ drag radials on, and see what I run.
Don't get me wrong though, I love the 60-1. I am making a good deal of power with it too. But for a recomendation factor.... I will get my divided manifold soon. If you plan on waiting a bit longer before you take the plunge, I will tell you my new 'spool' time. If its still not where I think it should be, I will be doing something different.. (Think 62-1, 66, or a 78).
I will let you know. Which CPU you running?
Mike
