rattle/ rasp noise while decelerating IN GEAR

Mr. body massage machine GOOO. lol okay sorry, well i have been hearin some strange things with my turbo lately. its a turbonetics hybrid. on a 87 t2 and a S5 hotside. well lately i have been hearing like a rattle/ rasp noise while decelerating IN GEAR. it is more dominant while in higher RPM. does anyone else have this problem or noise?? i am almost 100% certain that its the turbo, but it doesnt do it 100% of the time. i checked for shaft play. there is a VERY small amount of side to side, and NO back and forth. in addition to that, i noticed some oil in the intake duct. i know a little is normal due to the fact that its non ball bearing right?

also, my BOV has been getting more and more silent as of late, and there is a wee bit of stumbling under boost. afrs are ok, but i did notice a hair line crack in a hose. ill get it replaced asap.

all input is welcome!!!

thanks!!!!
steve

what?

does it make the sound when you rev the engine in neutral? If not, its probably driveline related.

PS - this title is ******* retarded. What were you thinking?

Thread title fixed.

Are you sure the noise isn't in the drivetrain?

hahaha yeah. i like retarded titles though. but, its when im IN gear that i hear the noise and when i rev the engine from the engine compartment, i have to rev it really high but i CAN slightly hear it comming directly from the area of the turbo... just seems weird and not normal.
