Questions about a T66 / Q-Trim / .86 divided

I was wondering if this turbo would be suitable for the 13b with a large street port. I know normally .86AR is on the small side but with the Q trim, from my understanding, could handle more flow over smaller trims. I tried looking for for flow chart for couldn't find one for this turbo. Any suggestions would be great.

The compressor map is nice for a street/strip type car. This is probably for someone shooting for 400-500 rwhp. Would not be good for someone in the 350-400 range as there are smaller choices that work better there.

As for the Q trim, I don't think a lot of people have tried that on the 13B and published their results. The larger turbine should flow more, but the larger wheel will also lag more. So.... if you do try it, please post a dyno result and comments on performance

Common turbine trim for a T66. It'll make like already stated 400-500 range, and also like stated, it won't be the best for the 350-400 range. It won't be a super responsive turbo, but wont be a lag monster either. Expect full boost around 4000 RPM give or take 500.

I think that'll be a good FD turbo, comparable to a T-78/T04R.

The one I have now I believe is a T67 Q trim and was pretty responsive but several blown engines later the turbine wheel is toast. This is a master power turbo but I cant seem to find anyone that sells them. Any ideas there?

I believe 'boby beach' on here is a distributor for them.

I believe masterpower only sells a t61, t64, t70 and then a gt45 but I could be mistaken. Of course they sell many before the t61 but I've never heard of them making anything inbetween a t64 and a t70

T-67? Masterpower do have the t-67 compressor but its not normally used in ther t04 size turbos. You most likely have the t-64 Q trim.
If you do need a new turbine let me know ill be able to order you one in.

Yes the Q trim flows more than the p trim so even with the smaller housing like the .84 you can flow big power. remember housing a/r is more about shaft speed not exhuast flow.
But running a small ar with large q trim turbine will make need for a very large wastegate to controll boost levels.
A lot more exhaust is needed to be vented out the wastegate to slow the compressor speed down when using smaller housings comparied with larger housings.

i'd rather have the P trim wheel.

i had a .96 Q-trim t04s on a medium-size streetport and it was laggy (full boost by about 5000 in 3rd) yours should be better with the smaller housing and bigger ports, but i'd still rather have the p-trim.

people have made 500+whp with the p-trim wheel. i believe kabooski (the guy with the big turbo grey FC) made 500whp+ on a .8x p-trim turbine, if i remember correctly. also, i believe carl byck made around 500whp with a p-trim .8x in his FC race car. i'd say the q trim isnt worth the extra lag.
