Question about wireing harness?
I just went single turbo with my FD and the shop owner said that I need a new wireing harness? I dont understand I dont know why it was running fine with the twins and now he sd that every wire he touches it get all fucked up. He sd I need a brand new wireing harness. He sd that he can get one for 600.00 new in the package, and he also sd that its about 4 hours to put in? I was wondering am I getting ripped off? Please someone help me I ve givin him over 5 grand for a single turbo set up.

600 for a new harness is great...
Hopefully the 4 hours labor...he takes out all the connectors you don't need with a single, or it will look cluttered in your bay.
by take out, I mean unwrap the harness and cut the wires for the connectors you don't have use for and properly terminate the leads that carry B+ voltage, then rewrap your harness.
if he's just installing a fresh harness...1 hour, unless it takes him 3 hours to figure it out. But then again he probably has to charge X hr shop time for "new harness" install.

I don't know what work he is performing...ask him to neatly take out the connectors that aren't used with a single turbo.
there is probably around 10!! depending on if you have an upgraded fuel rail...could be more.
