Question

Are single turbo's more reliable and efficient than twins? The extra mid range and high end power wont damage anything will they? Also is street porting bad for the motor?

Yes

Nope, as long as your fuel requirements are addressed and other parts of your motor are structurely sound

Also is street porting bad for the motor?

"Bad" no...as long as you have it ported by a competent mechanic and you tell him exactly how you want your car to perform/respond
