Advantages of clipping turbine wheel?
I'm considering clipping the turbine wheel on the k27/8 turbo that I bought for my Porsche. From what I understand, this turbo builds excessive exhaust backpressure once boost gets over 15lbs. This exhaust backpressure is responsible for boost falling on it face at high rpms. Will clipping the turbine wheel help reduce exhaust backpressure? Will it affect anything else (spool time, lag, etc.)?

You're clipping for the wrong reasons.
Turbine clipping will REDUCE turbo efficiency.  It is primarily done to control the turbo at high RPM's - usually due to an inferior wastegate system.
The clip does lower the rotating mass somewhat, and does allow for slightly quicker spool-up.
