PLEASE HELP!!! Coil not firing.
So I installed my Single, went smooth.. Started the car drove it around a couple of days (without boosting) next day i started it up, it starts, and while its warming up it shuts down.
Since then i can get it started and then it would die and sometimes it would start and then idel down and die..
THere is Fuel,, there is air,, oooh there is spark from all but one trailling coil.
Got another coil from a memeber and tested it tested on the ohm meter, installed it and there is no spark....
I checked with different wires, plugs, pluged and upluged the Twin Power and nothing.. I think its something electrical, which scares me cuase Its an area where I lack...
Steve Kan is coming up this Sat and im stuck here with a car that doesnt run...
Please some feed back, or suggestions..
Ps. Also the commander on the PFC just went dead now,, it doesnt show anything..

You have to approach testing in a logical method.
Your assumption 1 was that a trailing coil was bad.
This gives you two testing options. Swap both trailing coils or replace the not working coil with a known working coil.
From this you can determine if the problem is with the coil or further upstream.
Which from you results seems to be the case. Since you also unplugged the TP, and the problem continues.
Next would be to swap the ignitor with another known good one.
The engine should be able to idle on primaries!

If you have a 93... replace the harness that goes to the coils.
The 93 harness had an external ground, where as the 94+ harness grounded through the harness. I think it's fairly cheap... just call Malloy and tell Ray you need the harness that goes to the coil packs... it's a small harness which has one conncetion that goes into the large harness, and then 3 small connectors for the coil packs.
I had breakup and coil issues back in the day, replacing that harness fixed it. I may actually still have mine.. somewhere, with only like 5k miles on it.

Thanks for the info guys,,,
This is the update,, got my buddies stock FD up here,, switched igniters,, nothing.
Then we switched coils,, we got spark,, on all coils...
Still no start,,,
Took some old used angle sensors, switched them out... still no start...
I think tomorrow we are going to try to switch those sensors around,, cuase there is no markings on them so we didnt know if there is a diffrence..
Is there a difference???
Ps. also i did replace the small harness with another FDs from the coil.. Still nothing different..
Let me know if there is any other ideas,, cuase only one day left before the tune....
thanks
