Pictures of KKK next to TO4!

OK, last time I posted here looking for a compressor map on a KKK K27 turbo that I bought, and I just got the turbo today, and it seems like not to many people know what the turbo is in size, so I thought I would just post some pictures of it next to a TO4B.

And just for reference the TO4 is a .60 AR intake/1.15 AR exhaust. The KKK K27 is a .83 intake/.84 exhaust.

Think it will push 600 HP?

Yeah, but it's worth thinking about. Although it's not going on a rotary. I was trying to find dyno sheets of a 7M with HKS K27 kit, but no one has one....

You do know that when you say K27 it is just like saying TO4. There are many different sizes of K27, anywhere from a turbo that will make 250hp to one that will make 850hp.

I ended up paying $200 shipped from Peurto Rico.

Are you sure? I don't think so. There are many different K series turbo's just like there are many different T-series turbo.

There are K24, K26, K27, K29, K31. And I'm sure there are many more, along with like K03, and such. Plus this is bigger than the TO4 I have, that AR on the intake is much bigger. And I believe the K27 is about the equevelent of a T66. I E-mailed a company about getting the compressor map for the specific turbo that I have, and if they send it to me I'll post it up here.

Actually, Igy is correct. You should have the K27 Moj3470, which is the middle one. This is the one I am currently running on my 7. Have a look at this comparison chart.

What kind of flange is on the K27? Where did you get it for $200 shipped? Hook me up man.

I'm not sure on the flange, I'm just makeing my own.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742

And that's were I got it. I saw it sell on ebay last time (the same turbo), for like $500, but I guess the buyer backed out. Made a good deal for me

Also for Jesuscookies, were are those serial numbers lated? I looked all over it, and there is one spot on the compressor backing plate, that looks like there should be another tag. But there is nothing there, I'm thinking that is were those #'s would be, but I'm not sure.

Also how is the K27 you have doing? Like boost, HP, spool time...

Thanks

The numbers are on that little metal blue label in the middle photo, on your ebay link.

As far as the turbo is concerned. I am very pleased with it. The quality of the kit is amazing, and that turbo will probably outlive the car. The thing that sucks is the propertary flanges, and parts. Should that turbo blow up, Blitz quotes close to 2k to rebuild. I.E. throw it away, and buy something else.

Performance, is nice. I dynoed 360RWHP at 13PSI, and was told I should be able to hit 400RWHP in the 17PSI range. I start spooling at around 2800 and have full boost by 3400RPM's. Boost does not let off. I have hit redline in 4th, (handing a porsche carrerra s his *** ) with boost running strong.

I think as long as you are realistic about what the turbo can do you will be very pleased.

Good luck with it.
