Dang, I didn't even know that two blow off valves could be installed. how much are these manis? they look EXPENSIVE! and I don't know how to make the right many for mt SE. .....btw...SICK>>>

question, lately i saw a picture of a mani with extremely long runners. it was designed to get a 1:1 ratio of boost to exhaust backpressure i believe. How was this calculated? Is longer better? How long is to long?

Manifold runner length has very very little to do with getting a 1:1 ratio of intake pressure and exhaust pressure. It's turbo specs such as turbine size / trim and turbine housing A/R that gets you there. BTW unless you want a track **** that spends its entire life on boost with a narrow rev range (reletively speaking here, say 5.5K RPM to say 8k which is broad, but narrow when speaking street car) and for it to be a spooling slug (can we say turbo lag?) don't do it. Now if your always 5000 RPM or higher (READ: RACE CAR) then by all means try and get to the Holy Grail of turbo charging bliss of that magic 1:1 crossover ratio.

Bingo, I would tend to agree with most all of that.

The one above reminds me of this one I did years ago. Though I had longer runners on this one. Just under 21" at 529mm each runner.

Two bov's? I'm pretty sure you are talking about two wastegates....im sure you could install 10 if you wanted, but 2 is probably the most on 2-rotors. 2 Might even be stretching it for a normal car......maybe usefull on a full race type motor. Which im sure a lot of these are.

running 2 wastegates does let you keep the runners completely divided although i have no clue how much it actually helps

It also gives a larger valve to diaphragm ratio which means larger valve area responding like a smaller WG. However after playing with it for awhile. I can say rarely if ever do you have the need to run twingates on a single manifold.

I'm in the middle of building this (pics). Let me know what you guys think. I did alot of reading on the importance of lengths, and still arrived at this length. (somewhere around 10 inches)

Also, can anyone confirm my theory of dual wastegates sounding a ton better? Setup in dump fashion I mean.
I've heard open headers and open stock manifold, and stock manifold sounds like absolute crap.
Two tubes going to a single wastegate seems like a stock manifold. I think that's why they sound fuzzy.

Anyone know who makes this one? I have the same one, but can't figure out who makes it.

Hey all these designs look pretty good. Great job for those who took it upon themselves to fabricating there own manifolds. I would love to be able to fabricate my own but i dont have the experiences, tools or knowdledge to make one.

I have an HKS Kai51r thats been in the box for years due to the fact i cant find a manifold. Lol

Great job guys keep up the good work..

i bought all the materials for my manifold... but quickly realized it would take an eternity to get all the angles juuuuuust right without a band saw and a belt gridner.
