We have run it at the track at 32 psi on aborted runs

We have put out as much as 36psi of boost according to our datalogs.

heres dome test results
at 26 psi last year on a street port we put down 540

on a 1/2 bridge we have seen as much as 590 to the wheels.

It behaves alot diferently than the 35/40. I feel the 3540 is a little weak in the low boost, someone told me its not in its effective operating range until 16 psi. Wheras the 42 feels good all over and it pulls hard until the redline. I am very happy with this combo, I'm not blowing smoke up anyone's ***, It works very well, street or race.

Magnus, i'm looking for a price JUST for the turbo... the 13b kit would be of no use on my 20b.

Thanks,
Nick

kit doesnt seem to be a "bag" for the buck. gt3540 is almost on the same level and saving $2400.
not saying gt42 is a bad turbo but it too exspensive.

Sorry I don't check back here too often, so email is probably the better way to reach me, phone is by far the best way.

Since I've had some complaints of the price I'm working on trying to get a lower buck option for those who are interested.

The GT42 you buy direct IS NOT the same turbo, ours is a hybrid.

gt3540 next to "Y2K"

someone said the 2 turbos in the picture with that mario guy were a gt3540 and a turbonetics Y2k, but that Y2k looks like it has a different compressor housing.
IS that true or is it not even a y2k turbo

bump on fixing the link to the video....I would love to see that

Got a side question here: I noticed in the first pic at the very start of this thread, you barely have any belt contact on the water pump. I belive you have the full Unorthodox pulley set. You don't have any problems with that? I heard (from their tech) that they are coming out (or at least working on) an idler pulley to better get the belt around the water pump.

I've got the video on my hard drive. PM your e-mail and I'll attach it.
That can't be a Y2K, just looked at a Turbonetics catalog last night. They said that was a 35/42 in the picture. Magnus GT42 does not look like that, as you can tell from the first posts.

I got that picture off www.exvitermini.com

It said, on the site, right below the picture...

"1x Turbonetics Y2K, 1x Trent, 1x GT3542"

So obviously I assumed it was a Y2K, since it said on the website Y2K. AJC13B already clarified that it wasn't a Y2K, it's a Garrett TA45 or something.
