If Ray still has the same wideband setup (Bailey brand) as from the old PFSupercars days, 12-ish on his wideband is more like 11-ish on my wideband (TechEdge model)...

Ray knows what he's doing, so my guess is that the 12.0 figure is what works well on his model wideband. (they do vary some from brand to brand)

Thanks for adding me to that Brian. I got a ride in it today in the rain thanks to Ray. I almost wet myself. It's pretty scarry. I'll have to get used to driving it. I can't complain about that.

 

It's a great turbo, did you dyno in 3rd, or 4th? If fourth, the spool you are seeing is 500rpm late for this turbo. You will see my dynos are similar to yours, but the spool was due to 3rd gear pulls, and that the turbo had no time to spool up. My pulls were less than 3 seconds from 2500-8500rpm on the dynojet in 3rd gear. When I did a fourth gear pull the sheet looks alot better, as the turbo has several seconds to spool. I know that sounds confusing, but it is sort of like brake boosting. I'll be doing a little tuning of my AVCR, and using 4th gear. When I do, I expect my graph to be the same, but move ~300-500rpm to the left(sooner).
I think I will run out of fuel at around ~550rwhp, with a 90% duty cycle(the highest I want to run). As a side note I believe CARX7s turbo turned out to be a Precision PT68, not 67 as was ordered. Goood job, Carl

 

Carl, I was not there at the time but i think Ray generally would run a 3rd gear pull.

I do not know. Ray was the one who suggested the turbo to me. I have not seen any yet.

 

The PT67 is an HKS TO4R compressor, but I beleive there is a special trim on the HKS TO4R turbine side. I'ts one hell of a turbo, high 700s are possible on the 2JZ with a Q trim. T66 in the same size is another one I want to try. I have a Q trim, I may bolt it up this winter, and do some testing. If somebody loans me a T66 .81 P trim, I'll do some back to back stuff for the group. Carl
