A "nice" water temp is anywhere from 190F-210F in my book.&nbsp Anything over 220F is a sign of danger.&nbsp 250F is the absolute MAX the engine should see at any one time.

My FD only saw temps that Ted talks about when it is on the track in the summer. Around town I would cruise around in the 170s, maybe reach the 180s if I was in traffic in the summer (100F).

As Ted says, anything over 250F is going to probably cause problems.

What did you do to get such cool temps? did you do the fan mod or did you modified your your radiator?

A mix of 70-80% distillied water/ 20-30% antifreeze plus water wetter helps. It kept me @ 180F or below just as long as I was going over 30mph or so. But since the Koyo and the 3row install my temps are 180F on the highway(only if in 5th). 4th gear on the highway I go to about 195-200 and thats when I shift to 5th or turn the fans on. Anything under highway speeds, 55 or slower I play the fan game.... On...Off...On...Off
I dont know @ what temp it will max out at, but I dont let it go past 210F.
Anybody think Evans would help? One guy said he saw like a 40f degree temp drop by swithing. I think he have a bad sending unit.

Why you want to go any COOLER?&nbsp The engine is going to trigger an overly rich condition which just kills power and wastes gas.&nbsp The ICE (internal combustion engine) works most efficiently around 180F-200F anyways.&nbsp Colder is not necessary better in this case...

I dont mind 180-200 at all, in fact I would be very happy if my temp stayed around 190-200. However my temps just keep climbing til I turn the fans on (unless im on the highway). With my old set-up, stock radiator and older style Greddy front mount. My temp stayed @ 180 just as long as I was moving.

I guess I just got use to seeing 180 @ all times and now seeing 210 on a cool day is just a big change for me.

I had a fair stock cooling system. I did the AST removal mod and that was about it. Full exhaust, no P/S or A/C, I did have the exhaust and turbo manifolds, turbine housings and DP all ceramic coated too. Plus of course the M2 Large

Now I have a new cooling system now and an IC bigger than the M2 Large, so we will see what happens this summer. Pics are on my site.

Oh, forgot to mention, I had a Haltech also, but that made no changes to my cooling system. Fan never ran on anything but low because of how I wired everything (which I just fixed).
