The steel part of the line looks like the same size as a stock TII oil feed.

It is, actually it is one cut in 1/2 and linked together with that hose... By the way I was told that the hose I had on there is designed for 350 degrees and around 250 psi max I doubt Ill have a problem with that, but after I do the few mods Im planning on doing, with the check valve and such. I was just curious if maybe I should restrict the pressure in there..

you know what, the oil banjo fitting is a larger diameter on the twin turbo motors, i dont remember if the pipe is too, i'm not sure but it is possible that you do need a restrictor.

Since the center section of that turbo is basically still a TII setup, and that's pretty much the same as the TII oil feed, I'd say you're good to go - shouldn't be ANY problem at all.

Take your time with the oil return line - make sure it bolts up flush to the bottom of the turbo. Some of the hybrid turbos I've seen are big to the point where the oil return line JUST hits the compressor housing and doesn't seat flat on the bottom of the turbo. That's a fun oil leak right there .

Anyhow, that feed line looks great - no probs there.

Yeah the oil return is fine, no leaky leaky LOL

@j9fd3s You are right the oil feed line is bigger from the banjo to the turbo, but I thought if the line got smaller anywhere before the turbo it wouldnt matter?

I got porblems with blowing oil out my BOV and my turbo builder swears it isnt the turbo... He says the oil supply is too big, but everytime I catch him online, he doesnt tell me the correct size...

You really need an oil pressure gauge.&nbsp If the line is too large, the oil pressure will show a noticable drop.

you removed all the emissions right ??? you might have done the same thing i did on my TII.... i capped the block and oil filler neck ventilation. anyway when i did sucked in so much oil into the manifold... made quite the smoke show. took off one cap... 1 min later ran perfect NO SMOKE! might want to check you didn't do the same thing as me

The block and oil filler neck lines are open. By block I think you mean the middle housing one? I get a little oil out of there, maybe about a 1/4 tablespoon after about 200 miles and some pretty hard runs... Its the BOV thats pissing me off, I really dont want to end up taking my IC off (pain in the a$$) and cleaning it out... Thats why im trying to fix this now, before it gets a lot of oil init..

BTW: all emisison **** is BYE BYE

@REted I have an oil pressure guage, oil pressure looks fine... Actually its just about the same as my stock 13b in my 88 vert.

Im gonna do a few things to it, I think Im gonna move the turbo drain from the front cover to the rear steel housing, that might make the drop a lot faster for the return...

also might do the check valve thing to the oil filler neck to pull some vacuum in there...

That and the oil line are my only chances of stopping this thing...

try capping either the oil fill neck hole or the block hole and see if it still does it.....

One thing to check - if the inlet to the turbo is choked down or too restrictive, the extra vacuum will actually suck out oil from around the compressor wheel which will go into the inlet piping.

Hey,
I was wondering what to use for my oil feed/return lines. Will high temp/press. rubber tubing work, or do I need to get either hard lines with compression fittings, or ss braided ****. I would really like to just use the rubber but dont want one to burst on me. BTW this is just temporary, Im going to get ss lines when I get my to4 put in.
