oil coolers

My RX-7 FD has one oil cooler... but I want 2 for better cooling.

Cwest front bumper.
the centre if for a v mount interooler and radiator.

Right one... for the airfilter

left one for the oil cooler.

Now my question is .. would it be usefull to mounth the second cooler behind the other one ?
So hot oil first goes to the rear cooler and then to the front cooler.

This way I can still use the right hole in the bumper for the air filter.

Does anybody has a better idea maybe ?

cooler

I suggest relocating the air filter. Maybe get a feed headlight cover. As air passes through the first cooler it is heated as passes through the fins of the cooler, that hotter air is then passing through the second cooler. I've never seen that setup. You need to see what the advantages of having a airfilter in that location instead of the oil cooler. I could be wrong but I don't think there is much difference having the airfilter getting air from the intake of the front bumpe as opposed to in the engine compartment.

Cheers

If you dont have the big money for the upgraded duals. you can use the trans cooler from an auto with some modifications. I would not reccoment stacking two on the drivers side.

it is not the money but don't have room for it.

The centre of the bumper is full with only the radiator and intercooler.
There is no space for an intake.

A intake in the headlight is way to small. 4 inch intake to a 2 inch hole in the headlight.
AIr filter in the engine compartment is no option (room and heat)

I will try to use a 1 big oil cooler with the best ducting I can think of.
We will see after a race sesion what happens

No difference between ambient temperature and the air right around the turbo?
That is why the supposed cold air boxes are really hot air boxes.

yes that is what I was thinking.
The engine wants to have cool air... that is why you have an intercooler... so why put warmer air in as needed.
