oil cooled turbo for road racing

I have a to4r turbo with a 1.0 hotside and it is not a water cooled turbo. Will i have problems with this turbo for roadracing purpose. I plan on running about 350-400hp. This is not the turbo that i really want, but the turbo that i currently have. Do i have to run a water cooled turbo for roadracing?

It will be fine as long as you remember to do a cool down before shutting it off so you don't coak the oil in the turbo. Lots of drifters and time attack cars have been running the bw turbos that are oil cooled journal bearing with no problems for years.

^ That and just monitor your oil temps as you normally should.

you're fine as long as you use good synthetic oil. They won't hurt the bearings.
