Nos with Turbo Question?

My first question is lets say i have a Greddy T88 Upgrade and when using Nitrous Express Ntercooler when do I use nos to make this huge turbo spool up faster? At what RPM? Sorry not a big nos fan but just curious. Thanks!

technically since all you are doing is cooling the charged air, you'll want to hit the nitrous right away, therefore cooling the charged air even at low boost.

you have to realize, you aren't/shouldn't be shoting into engine, so you could sit there and cool it down at a dead stop if you want too.

You do realize that it cools the I/C not sprays into the engine like a conventional set-up. This may seem stupid, but sometimes people don't fully understand, and get confused between the different set-ups. I would say as you stage and then right off the bat.

Not to hijack this thread, but I was just reading about a NOS system used to spool the turbo. There was not much info in the ad, and I couldn't find anything on the website. Anyone know what kind of system I am refering to? How it works, or pro's and con's?

Any nitrous kit that sprays in the engine will cool the charge, give hp depending on pill, and spool the turbo like crazy cause of all the extra exhaust it creates.

Using a kit that sprays on the IC isnt going to spool your turbo faster and IMO is a waste of money

If I'm paying for nitrous I'm spraying that **** into the engine haha

In all honesty I'm with Stephen. If you're gonna choke the chicken you might as well do it with both hands.

check out nos`s site i believe they sell a kit with a pressure sensor that when it reaches a preset boost level it will switch the nos off

Actually you have it wrong. Spraying the intercooler will spool the turbo quicker. By spraying the intercooler, you are cooling the air, making the air more dense, allowing more oxygen to get in to the engine. This makes more power and creates more exhaust, which in turn spools the turbo quicker.

I guess all the chemistry and thermodynamics I take, is doing something for me

There is a kit on ebay with a pressure switch that looked pretty good. I havent test it out but if I cant deal with the lag Ill probely dump $50 into it. It is ajustable from 4 to 15psi (it will cut the NOS off here) the guy said its basically so you can use your turbo for top end and turbo and NOS for bottom. I think its worth a shot.
